Dr. Dwyer is a native Texan, born and raised in Seguin, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate studies. He then completed dental school at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, graduated at the top of his class and being elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. Dr. Dwyer completed a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and at affiliated hospitals. He started his practice in 1981 with Northwest Oral Surgery.
Dr. Dwyer is board certified as a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of the Christian Dental Society, the Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Houston Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American and Texas Dental Associations, and the Houston District Dental Society. Dr. Dwyer, his wife Judy and daughter Darby attend Lakeside Bible Church and reside in Montgomery County, Texas.
